Supporting Interdisciplinary Training

Grants Up To $30,000

Didactic and Clinical Training Support

 

Program directors may apply for funds up to $30,000 to support trainees in interdisciplinary training programs focusing on individuals with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities (I/DD).

Programs must have a didactic and a clinical training component with an interdisciplinary approach, faculty mentors and trainee-implemented research projects.

Programs with fewer than five trainees will not be considered.

Additional consideration will be given to programs with a documented record of placing researchers, policy makers, advocates and providers who are caring for and/or advancing the rights and full participation of all people with I/DD.

Completed applications, along with all other required documents and materials, must be emailed no later than 12:00 Midnight in the locality where transmitted from no later than May 31, 2025. Extensions will not be granted, and late letters will not be accepted.

New … LEND Alumni Registry

The LEND Alumni Registry may be of use to Arc families seeking clinical service providers who have undergone specialized training with IDD individuals

The UW LEND Program provides training to clinical service providers working with individuals with intellectual or developmental deficits and their families.  The Arc of Washington Trust Fund has been supporting that work for well over a decade.  Now the UW has produced a registry which may be a useful resource to Arc families looking for care providers who have received this training.  The registry lists these “alumni” trainees, their specialties -ranging from physicians to dentists to physical and occupational therapists and others - their organizations, and their locations.  These can be accessed in a searchable database by clicking the button below:
